Champagne Kisses by Lynda Aicher

Needless to say, I'm a big Lynda Aicher fan since I've loved all of her books, and Champagne Kisses was no exception. This was a light-hearted Christmas read with a bit of sexiness thrown in for two guys were definitely opposite sides of the same coin. Their differences were at first a source of contention, but their chemistry was undeniable leading them into the start of a great relationship. It was a short read, but I liked that we also got a bit of an epilogue to show where things led from there. I very much enjoyed this and, as always, I'm looking forward to what else Lynda has in store for us in the future.

Not Safe For Work by L.A. Witt

L.A. Witt has become one of my go-to authors so I knew going into this book that it was going to be pretty hot, but I've got to say that it exceeded all of my expectations because it was one deliciously, sexy read. You could just feel the heat between Jon and Rick coming from the pages. And as much as I loved that aspect, it wasn't just all of those steamy scenes that I enjoyed. I seriously loved that these two had very real-life type issues, and that they were just two guys trying to sort out their lives the best way they could. The highlight was, of course, their very intimate and intensely emotional BDSM play moments that really made this book special. Now I could see how some might consider this book to be a bit oversexed, and I may agree to some extent, but it really fit the characters. They each had equally healthy sex drives, but I can't say that it detracted from the story at all in my opinion. Not Safe for Work was a refreshing spin on the whole boss/employee trope, and I've got to say that I enjoyed every moment of it.

Stuck Landing (Bluewater Bay #11) by Lauren Gallagher

Stuck Landing was my first full on lesbian/bi sexual read, and I definitely enjoyed it. I've always loved diversity in reading, so I don't know why it has taken me this long to read a book with just two female leads before when I've read plenty of scenes in menage books that included them. *shrug* It's anyone's guess, but I can confidently say I will read more in the future because, to me, love is love and I enjoy reading it in any form it comes.

So now for the story itself...I've been waiting patiently for Anna's book for awhile now. She's been a key character in the background throughout this series, and given how all of her issues with former girlfriend come to head in a previous book, I knew her story was going to be good. Anna is seriously such a strong woman, so I was interested to see who could really be paired up with her that I would find to be her equal. But I've got to say, Gallagher found her perfect match for Anna in Natalya. I will admit that I was a bit disappointed by how much Anna's insecurities beat down their relationship to the point where I was ready for them to call it quits. I'm not discounting that her insecurities were real, but I found it a bit over the top to the point where it made the story start to drag. Another slight issue I had, was that I felt like the sex scenes had a wash, rinse, repeat feel to them just in different locations. I was expecting those scenes to be a bit more diverse than they were. But casting those two issues aside though, the rest of the book was definitely an enjoyable read. Especially a certain event that happens in the middle that I've been dying to see happen since I started reading this series. I even cried a little bit and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

Overall, I enjoyed my first experience into reading f/f and I really love how LG explores different aspects of sexuality and really focuses more on what works best for her characters rather than trying to fit them into some stereotypical mould. Each book in this series just keeps getting better and I'm so in love with the little town of Bluewater Bay. :)

Fighting Dirty (Ultimate #4) by Lori Foster

Now it's no secret that I haven't been overly fond of this Ultimate series, but I've also been pining for Armie's book from the start. He was just this intriguing character throughout the course of this series, and I was eager to get inside of his head and find out all of his secrets. I was also dying for him to finally cave where Merissa was concerned, so needless to say I had high expectations for this book.

So was I disappointed? Absolutely not! Guys, this was a great read and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. It had some suspense in there with the romance, so it had everything I was looking for in a romance book. Bet you are wondering why the 4 stars? Well, it's actually 4.5 simply because I kind of assumed Armie's deep dark secret was a bit more complicated. I was surprised to find out it wasn't, and the "bad guys" were a bit ill fitting. Other than that, I loved everything else about this book. The complicated relationship that Rissy and Armie have had just the right amount of sexual tension to keep it interesting and whew were these two hot together!

Overall, I give this one two thumbs up and I can't tell you how excited I am for the next branch off series since it is going to revolve around bodyguards. :)
