I'm happy to say this is a case where the story can be completely
predictable, but yet still immensely enjoyable because the characters
are so well developed. I've always loved Foster's talent for her
exceedingly well developed characters, so this came as no surprise to
me. Now was I blown away by the plot? Unfortunately I'm afraid not,
because things were all just a bit too obvious. But I will say that it
was a cute reuniting of friends that quickly become lovers story that I
found to be completely charming.
Garrett was sexy as sin just like his father and uncle's were when I read the previous Buckhorn books, so I was happy to see him carrying on that great tradition of sexy good looks paired with a sweet demeanor. I also loved that little bit of dirty talk he had going on underneath all that good boy charm. Zoey is a free spirit and so very kind-hearted that I simply adored her. She is going through quite a lot when she moves back to Buckhorn, but yet she is able to hold her head high and embrace life as it comes. These two were a fantastic pair, and I am happy that his sister Amber was pushing them both in each others direction. :) I thought that Amber was a fun character, so I'm eager to see where things go with her and Noel in the future. *winks* Like she said..."The bigger they are, the harder they fall."
