I've been struggling with how write this review, because on one side it was a good read but on the other side it made me angry. I refuse to give away any spoilers in my reviews, but suffice to say a big no no happened and I'm definitely not happy.

The good and the bad of it is that I like Beck and Dee, I always have, but that 2 year gap in time made us lose out on some big relationship building moments between them as well. I just wanted more communication between them than we got, and her recovery just seemed so fast after struggling for so long when we miss that part because of the gap. I think these two have a lot of chemistry, but I wanted to see more of their emotional foundation that they have built beyond the steamy bedroom moments to make me feel that they are in love.

Unfortunately the area that dropped this for me the most was that the conflict aspects of this book were predictable, bland, and forced. I didn't enjoy that aspect of the story at all, and then the no no moment happened and I was honestly one unhappy reader by that point. Like everyone, I loved the emotional moments (after the event I refuse to spoil for anyone) that definitely made me cry, but sadly my anger overrode those emotions.

Now I will say that despite all this, I am looking forward to seeing where this story goes from here. I want Maddox's book sooooo bad, but I have a feeling he isn't going to be next. Gah I can't say more without spoiling things, so I'm just going to hush now. lol
