Having not read the previous books in this series, I was delighted to find that I didn't need to in order to understand what was going on in Devil In My Arms. I will, however, definitely be going back and reading them, because I absolutely adored the line up of characters in this. Samantha Kane has always had an ability to draw you into her stories, and I think that she writes fantastic characters you can't help but fall in love with. I have to say that Kane did a fantastic job accomplishing this in Devil In My Arms, and I found myself unable to put the book down.

I simply loved the witty banter between Eleanor and Hil. Not only do these two share amazing chemistry together, but they are quite evenly matched making them perfect for one another as well. As the story progressed, they find themselves undeniably attracted to one another, so the two seek out an intimate assignation that works to their mutual benefit. Unfortunately, neither of them planned to fall in love or the complications that they would face either. Regrettably, trouble lurks in the shadows from a foe that neither of these two could have anticipated, and it will take all of Hil's detective skills to figure out who the real murderer is before Eleanor is set to hang.

Devil In My Arms was an engaging and exciting read from start to finish. I was never able to anticipate where the story was going to go, so that made it truly a delightful read for me. I look forward to reading the previous two books in the series, and I am eager to see what Kane has in store for us next as well.
