This was a very enjoyable friends to lovers story and I adored all the sweet moments of friendship that eventually transitioned into some really steamy hot moments as lovers. Julie is my favorite type of heroine, because she is both strong and smart. She has been pining for her best friend for the better part of 23 years, but she also didn't just cave when he started showing affection for her either. Now Tommy annoyed me at times, but I also understood where he was coming from too. He didn't think himself capable of the type of love he felt Julie deserved, so he was fighting really hard and admirably with himself about taking their friendship to the next level. I loved how honest he was about his faults with both his love and professional life, and I really did feel for him in his struggles. Once he gives in though, things between these two heat up super fast! Overall, I really enjoyed this story and I hope we get to read Mac or Brody's stories next!
*I received a review copy of this from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review*
